INTRODUCTION- COMPARATIVE RELIGION

In the name of Allah S.W.T,

first of all I want to Thank Allah S.W.T in giving me the chance meet Brother Kamarudin Abdullah who be my teacher in Islamic Class for comparative religion & contribute in giving materials in study comparative religion.

why we should study comparative religion?

1.To enhance the understanding of Islam among newly reverts.
2.To propagate Islam towards non-muslim community.
3.To explain real meaning of Islam and carry the aspirations of Islam.
4.To lessen the religion gaps among our multiracial society.
5.To guide our newly reverts brothers and sisters towards amal ma’ruf.

& one more, anything that Siti put here is using King James Version Bible. It is not wrong if we read Bible in our learning. You will find it is interesting to learn about Christianity, Judaism & others religion in this world.

Different Bibles use different words and at times these words are crucial: for example in some versions of the Bible the word "savior" or "son" is used, in other versions, the word have been replaced by "deliverer" and "children"! Though superfically the two words may mean the same, but it is a clever & devious change so as incorrectly make Jesus (peace be upon him) as the only "saviour" or "son"; when in fact the Bible mentions other prophets who were also sent as saviors and sons.

Only a few verses of the Bible are quoted in the relevant section. this is done to:

1. to keep the text & learning easy and simple
2. to get answers from Christians on these verses
3. to let the Christians missionaries in your area know that you are aware and equipped to challenge their missionary advances.
